The start of his struggles:
In 2017 Dr. Dave was at a crossroads in his life. While he was on a mission to help the world with his gift got burned out. His health deteriorated with severe depression, his teeth started falling out, bones started breaking, and the brain fog had eaten away his cognitive ability. To make matters worse he was losing his business and felt like his life was out of control.
That was when he made his first “jumping off the Fence” decision to let go of all his possessions, convert a school bus into a tiny home with his family, and travel the country for a year. He lived by the mantra “I’m in control of my destiny” and he reversed his stressful situation with a massive vitality transformation.
Living with Calcium Shell Chronic Disease
Eight years of relentless suffering. Countless doctors, endless treatments, and still no answers. I felt stranded on an island of despair.
This chronic disease is massively misunderstood. A traumatic event shocks your adrenal glands and hormones, causing your body to leech calcium and magnesium from your bones into your bloodstream. This calcium deposits in muscles and joints, weakening your bones and disrupting your nervous system.
Some of the symptoms I lived with were bipolar disorder, depression, suicidal thoughts, chronic inflammation, organ dysfunction, uncontrollable weight gain, severe hernias, and excruciating muscle cramps.
But there's hope. Despite the unknown diagnosis, I was on the right path. Healing is a slow journey, but it’s possible. I megadose magnesium glycinate, sodium, and potassium, manage stress intensively, take frequent naps, engage in moderate exercise, and avoid dietary calcium. It's a challenging regimen, but it brings relief and hope.
This is why I had to Choose my Own Adventure…and you can too
Quest to Become a 100-Mile Ultra Athlete
Despite the slow progress over the past 8 years, Dr. Dave still felt like a broken couch potato. He decided to “Jump off the Fence” again and do something crazy. Why not do an ultimate challenge? He’s now sharing his journey of transformation while training for his first ever long distance running event.
His goal: Javelina 100 in the mountains of Arizona, October 2024 for his 45th birthday.
Why?
When he turns 85 he wants to have no regrets in life, he wants to be an inspiration for his kids and family, and of course he just plain wants more energy to live this amazing life.
